The crowd rose to their feet as Thames Ironworks FC's Kjell Heggert slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renatinho Arruda. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. If Evert Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Boklund hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Proença's late challenge caught a Thames Ironworks FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Proença helped the player get up and apologised. Renatinho Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Heggert in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Thames Ironworks FC were awarded a corner. Evert Sundström went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Kjell Heggert heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 24th minute, Boris Beckström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thames Ironworks FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A hard shot 28 in the game by Börje Johnsson from a close distance when the talented Renatinho Arruda managed to make a qualified save. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's players were relieved. Ezequiel Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Renatinho Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Heggert in the 37th minute of play. Börje Johnsson scored 3-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renatinho Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Renatinho Arruda was a little too slow when Kjell Heggert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell Heggert to strike the kick off in the second half. Börje Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Pedro Luís Cruz got a free kick in the 56th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélio Alves during the 58th minute. Gabriel Majman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Börje Johnsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renatinho Arruda. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Börje Johnsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 87th minute, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Matheus Ramos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-2. If Evert Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boris Beckström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renatinho Arruda having to make a save. A collision led to Thames Ironworks FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Lucas Boklund hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Thames Ironworks FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
