Rayman Rioseras kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Gerardo Gaxan in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lorenz Ureta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Club Atletico Los Andes's Nana Lider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baba Ba in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Wrexham booed when Club Atletico Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Gaxan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nana Lider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivon Gasca in the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Baba Ba made the kick off in the second half. In the 87th minute Carlos Caneças shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Ureta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's Gerardo Gaxan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenz Ureta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wrexham's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonel Farias was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atletico Los Andes's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Wrexham's goalie and right to Guillermo Manex. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Wrexham's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 92nd minute, Carlos Caneças ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lorenz Ureta was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Wrexham's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
