The referee showed Tom Wenderickx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Irons Chorzów made a substitution. Jerzy Budrewicz replaced Łukasz Surma. In the 3rd minute, one of Royal Antwerp FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Royal Antwerp FC. Arnoud Vlimmens had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Klement Walaszkiewicz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arnoud Vlimmens came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by The Irons Chorzów's Klement Walaszkiewicz. But to his dismay, Klement Walaszkiewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Royal Antwerp FC's Arnoud Vlimmens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoslaw Kiewra in the 9th minute of play. Noel Creemers struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ludomil Niedbalski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Antwerp FC. Gwidon Popowicz took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnoud Vlimmens. Arnoud Vlimmens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Henri-Patrick Peters got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Aaron Van der Hoeven reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ludomil Niedbalski. The goal made the score 1-3. Noel Creemers kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Popowicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoud Vlimmens was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After the first half The Irons Chorzów were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerzy Budrewicz was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martijn Van Huytvenne in the 53rd minute of play forced The Irons Chorzów's goalkeeper Ludomil Niedbalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Gwidon Popowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud Vlimmens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludomil Niedbalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Van Huytvenne, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Joppe Van Kestbeek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martijn Van Huytvenne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ludomil Niedbalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jerzy Budrewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Irons Chorzów's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerzy Budrewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoud Vlimmens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerzy Budrewicz in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnoud Vlimmens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 79 minutes into the match, The Irons Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Henri-Patrick Peters came free, but Ludomil Niedbalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Jerzy Budrewicz made a precise shot to the right of Arnoud Vlimmens. Royal Antwerp FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. A collision led to The Irons Chorzów getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Klement Walaszkiewicz hit a great ball. Royal Antwerp FC's Arnoud Vlimmens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Popowicz in the 96th minute of play. Arnoud Vlimmens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gwidon Popowicz went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The Irons Chorzów's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
