The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Tolea got free with Dominik Ender in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Şuteu in the 7th minute of play forced ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's goalkeeper Dominik Ender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julien Marxer in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radu Cucerzan saved Dark Prophets from getting behind. Dark Prophets's Radu Cucerzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Marxer in the 9th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Julien Marxer made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dark Prophets's Radu Cucerzan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute Julien Marxer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Cucerzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Julien Marxer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elias Hohenegger's late challenge caught a Dark Prophets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Hohenegger helped the player get up and apologised. 25 minutes into the game, Aleksandar Vogt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dark Prophets the free kick. After a rather tough play, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Aleksandar Vogt got a free kick in the 26th minute. Julien Marxer took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radu Cucerzan. Radu Cucerzan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 41 minutes into the match, Julien Marxer notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Dark Prophets's Radu Cucerzan. Radu Cucerzan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 44 minutes of play, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Julien Marxer made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radu Cucerzan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Julien Marxer made the kick off in the second half. Radu Cucerzan was a little too slow when Julien Marxer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-6. Julien Marxer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Radu Cucerzan made a huge save. The supporters of ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ booed when Dark Prophets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Tolea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julien Marxer did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Radu Cucerzan 61 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Julien Marxer took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Radu Cucerzan to make any attempt to save it. In the 70th minute, Eddy Moser fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Radu Cucerzan, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julien Marxer in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Cucerzan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Robert Şuteu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Prophets's protests and gave Robert Şuteu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, Dark Prophets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Şuteu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ booed when Dark Prophets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Cernescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Julien Marxer took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Radu Cucerzan to make any attempt to save it. Julien Marxer scored 0-11 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radu Cucerzan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee ignored ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's protests and gave Daniel Jopek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Daniel Jopek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ played a much better game than Dark Prophets and deserved their victory. The Dark Prophets players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
