After 31 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by David Guedes. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Salim Adas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, De Boedo Vengo's Gino Custódio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frédson Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Frédson Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Eyague in the 43rd minute of the match. Salim Adas made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Hélio Meireles sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Custódio to make the kick off. That made the score 0-3 after 78 minutes of play. 86 minutes into the game, one of De Boedo Vengo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cláudio Ramalho shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Vinhas in the 89th minute of play forced De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Salim Adas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by De Boedo Vengo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
