Blas Estevez might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baltasar Millano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Estevez ran back to his position shaking his head. Baltasar Millano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Estevez in the 20th minute of play. If Blas Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baltasar Millano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Estevez in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, 17 de enero team's Dionisio Tolino got a free kick in the 28th minute. A wasted opportunity for Formentera. 43 minutes into the match, Blas Estevez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baltasar Millano. 17 de enero team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blas Estevez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Nuno made a kick off. Ladislao Nuno charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Formentera's Jonathan Joestar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Tolino in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Gamus got free with Baltasar Millano in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Formentera were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after 17 de enero team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filomeno Bastiaro took the corner. Baltasar Millano came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Formentera's Blas Estevez. But to his dismay, Blas Estevez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 93rd minute, Bernardo Artaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 97 minutes, Blas Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formentera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Estevez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Formentera players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
