The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hallstahammar IK's Joacim Svanér got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Malmberg charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Malmberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hallstahammar IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Joacim Svanér kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Evelio Gutierrez. That made the score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. Evelio Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Pudes in the 20th minute of play forced Hallstahammar IK's goalkeeper Göran Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Primo's late challenge caught a Hallstahammar IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Primo helped the player get up and apologised. Flavio Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Per-Arne Classon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Pudes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Göran Carlsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half D10S were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Holm to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of D10S booed when Hallstahammar IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Arne Classon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göran Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Pudes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddie Holm in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Gutierrez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evelio Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Malmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Anselmo Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Pudes had several of the Hallstahammar IK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Göran Carlsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, D10S's Anselmo Ubendu got a free kick in the 86th minute. Göran Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Dolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Clodoveo Telo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Evelio Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Hallstahammar IK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing D10S to win.
