Justo Pepillo succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After the first half Patricio Rey Futbol Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelian Mănescu was the one to do the kick off. Virgilio Pacifico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Ulici, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Dorin Simionescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Vertigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorin Simionescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. The supporters of Patricio Rey Futbol Club booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee ignored Club Vertigo's protests and gave Dorin Simionescu a yellow card for diving instead. Emanuel Lucaci hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Yağızhan Yurdaşen kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Patricio Rey Futbol Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Patricio Rey Futbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
