After 30 minutes, Bryce Paull mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darwin Saville FC and the A.C. Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Darwin Saville FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bryce Paull hit a great ball. Philip Powderham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Bogătean, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Eduard Micineanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Berca in the 39th minute of play forced Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Philip Powderham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Christopher Mckinnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Art Wilde put in a rough tackle.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dane Fasey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Philip Powderham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horea Berca. Horea Berca ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Darwin Saville FC's zone, Mihnea Bogătean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Powderham came out of the goal and Mihnea Bogătean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 minutes of play, A.C. Milan's Eduard Micineanu made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Powderham was left in no man's land by his defense there! Philip Powderham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Povară in the 93rd minute of play. When the match was over A.C. Milan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Darwin Saville FC throughout the match.
