MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur-Maurits Verlinden in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Vereeken in the 11th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Normando Maltez charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Normando Maltez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Normando Maltez got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Castelo Branco got free with Etienne van Hacht in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19thth minute of the game Lázaro Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ulan Bator Football Club's Etienne van Hacht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gregory Verbeeck hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Nicolas Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the MZ Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Queirós couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute Lázaro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etienne van Hacht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lázaro Oliveira got free with Etienne van Hacht in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ulan Bator Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicolas Queirós was slow to take the kick. During this time MZ Fénix's players had a chance to rest. Stefaan Verheijden kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ulan Bator Football Club's Etienne van Hacht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Oliveira in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes, Ulan Bator Football Club's Arthur-Maurits Verlinden shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ulan Bator Football Club reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Oliveira in the 52nd minute of play forced Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Etienne van Hacht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ulan Bator Football Club's zone, Carlos Castelo Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Etienne van Hacht came out of the goal and Carlos Castelo Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lázaro Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Etienne van Hacht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roano Santome in the 63rd minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulan Bator Football Club's Etienne van Hacht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Oliveira in the 64th minute of play. Lázaro Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Etienne van Hacht tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Queirós. Ulan Bator Football Club's Etienne van Hacht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Oliveira in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Nicolas Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Etienne van Hacht. Ulan Bator Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolas Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Stefaan Verheijden hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josef Vereeken. Lázaro Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Normando Maltez kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Belchior Miranda got a free kick in the 94th minute.
