Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Mikalsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Al-Fajuth's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Eliseu Alagoano sped through Brufoss IL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olav Øverby. 29 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amílton Marinho. Tormod Lunde took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Édouard Mendy. Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eliseu Alagoano in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After 87 minutes of play, Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Al-Fajuth fully deserved thier win.
