Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Florencio Iturrate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Zanette in the 8th minute of play. Xelo Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Édouard Mendy made a huge save. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel-Falcao García in the 11th minute of the match. Radamel-Falcao García received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Édouard Mendy came out and tried to block the shot, but Radamel-Falcao García slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Léo Ortiz got a free kick in the 15th minute. Florencio Iturrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute Eliseu Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Iturrate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agostinho Guedes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Florencio Iturrate didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rômulo Soares went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Léo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Al-Fajuth's Oséas Falcão was substituted for Amílton Marinho. In the 45th match minute, Al-Fajuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léo Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodoro Massa to strike the kick off in the second half. Vimaro Serans hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Rômulo Soares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Al-Fajuth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Al-Fajuth were furious when Léo Ortiz was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Al-Fajuth! Édouard Mendy had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Erramun Cepa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 69th minute, Erramun Cepa made a precise shot to the right of Édouard Mendy. Al-Fajuth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Florencio Iturrate proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ from getting a goal against them. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Radamel-Falcao García. But to his dismay, Radamel-Falcao García quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Bittor Adarzo's late challenge caught a Al-Fajuth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bittor Adarzo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bittor Adarzo to maneuver through the defense. If Radamel-Falcao García had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 87th minute of play forced Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's goalkeeper Florencio Iturrate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Radamel-Falcao García got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radamel-Falcao García in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Édouard Mendy saved Al-Fajuth from getting behind. Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
