Sven-Olof Gudmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Törnqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eliseu Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Al-Fajuth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Alagoano couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Eliseu Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Gudmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 10th minute of play. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Matorin in the 17th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Eliseu Alagoano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Toninho Prestes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Matorin in the 27th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Matorin took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Wilson Matorin sped through Bloodthirsty FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. Amadeu Furlan scored 0-5 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Olof Gudmundsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 45th minute of the match. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano. But to his dismay, Eliseu Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrik Brander made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Toninho Prestes got a free kick in the 56th minute. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rômulo Soares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 59 minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Eddie Jernberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bloodthirsty FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al-Fajuth the free kick. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Jernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Soares in the 65th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bloodthirsty FC's Sven-Olof Gudmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 79th minute of play. Al-Fajuth's Carlos Marinho was substituted for Teodoro Massa. Bloodthirsty FC's Bo-Erik Nilsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Amadeu Furlan, made in the 83rd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the game, Al-Fajuth's Rômulo Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Marinho got free with Sven-Olof Gudmundsson in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th play minute Carlos Marinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. 0-9. Bloodthirsty FC made a substitution. Sten Hernström replaced Gösta Pihlblad. Al-Fajuth's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
