The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbson Prata got free with Gualterio Turi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nilson Paraibano took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualterio Turi. Gualterio Turi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 31 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Turi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbson Prata. After some careless play in the Rafaela FC defense, Nilson Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualterio Turi. The Rafaela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualterio Turi should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Róbson Prata kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gualterio Turi. That made the score 6-0 in the 36 minute of play.
