Octavio Fournier started the match with the kick off. Rodrick Layton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivo Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavio Fournier in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Guilherme Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrick Layton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Byron Hutchins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.D. Bajen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imbituba - FSCMZ the free kick. Ivo Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Fournier in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Souza came free, but Rodrick Layton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Imbituba - FSCMZ booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Harris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Fournier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivo Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Guilherme Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrick Layton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guilherme Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. S.D. Bajen's Rodrick Layton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Souza in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Cesinha Vieira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrick Layton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Imbituba - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cesinha Vieira in the 46th minute. A well done corner resulted in Samuca Camargo drilling the ball in to score 0-4 behind S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

After 51 played minutes S.D. Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Byron Hutchins. Guilherme Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Rodrick Layton made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cesinha Vieira in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrick Layton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Guilherme Souza came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Imbituba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Guilherme Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrick Layton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guilherme Souza got free with Rodrick Layton in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Byron Hutchins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.D. Bajen's Rodrick Layton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Vieira in the 67th minute of play. Guilherme Souza scored 0-6 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrick Layton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Imbituba - FSCMZ booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Byron Hutchins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Cesinha Vieira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodrick Layton. Rodrick Layton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Imbituba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Guilherme Souza made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrick Layton was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Imbituba - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
