Bajen's protests and gave Devin Madison a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Burks in the 15th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Samuel Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Mandiyu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
