With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ján Novák in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Ascencio saved Celta de Virgos from getting behind. Ján Novák's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zacarias Ascencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Benny Niva scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdinand Luca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benny Niva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
