Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Pero to make the kick off. After 50 minutes, Ernest Petru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- and the Academia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 minutes of play, Academia FC's Aurelio Soin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomás Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Soin in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás Linares saved ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia FC's Vasile Ştirbu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomás Linares. That made the score 0-3 after 84 minutes of play. Aurelio Soin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Thomás Linares made a huge save. After some careless play in the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- defense, Aurelio Soin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomás Linares. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomás Linares should have stopped the shot. Thomás Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Soin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th match minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Lelescu to maneuver through the defense.
