Lin Xuan Hai ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lin Xuan Hai got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mark Flecken quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A sloppy throw-in by Benny Dörfler in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bennis's Lin Xuan Hai. 11 minutes into the match, Adam Lischka notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bennis's Leonardo Jara. Leonardo Jara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the match, Bennis's goal looked a bit too open when Rolland Sallai came free, but Leonardo Jara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Jara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolland Sallai, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Bennis's Leonardo Jara got control of the ball when Adam Lischka tried to sneak it across the goal line. When SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Enrico Schmedes in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bennis's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute Bennis were awarded a corner. Lin Xuan Hai went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Bennis's zone, Jason Heller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Jara came out of the goal and Jason Heller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Bennis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Stabbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 minutes, Donald Mac Donald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bennis and the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bennis getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Donald Mac Donald hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Åke Granberg made a kick off. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Mark Flecken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Enrico Schmedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Jara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Åke Granberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mark Flecken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bennis's Thodoris Katsiaros got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Bennis's Edwin Söderqvist was substituted for Sven-Åke Granberg. Mark Flecken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Cheng Sang in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwin Söderqvist in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Flecken saved SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. from getting behind. Bennis made a substitution. Roy Vesterberg replaced Aloísio Senna. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. made a substitution. Ole Per Schikaneder replaced Adam Lischka. Bennis's Pål Uggstedt was substituted for Cai Cheng Sang. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Burkhard Schlick was substituted for Rolland Sallai. In the 78th minute of the match, Pål Uggstedt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mark Flecken was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Mark Flecken got control of the ball when Pål Uggstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Bennis booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Heuchel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Jara came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Enrico Schmedes. But to his dismay, Enrico Schmedes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Bennis's Pål Uggstedt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mark Flecken. That made the score 2-1 after 91 minutes of play. Pål Uggstedt scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mark Flecken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Bennis's Pål Uggstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Flecken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
