Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joachim Forseth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Agustin Orion made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Daniel Nannskog sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Nannskog got free with Agustin Orion in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Forseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Roch Komornicki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Orion was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The Amboy FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Agustin Orion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Komornicki in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Modestio came free, but Joachim Forseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ruperto Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Truls Landsem got free with Agustin Orion in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustin Orion made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Truls Landsem sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Modestio in the 35th minute of play forced Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 38th minute, but Agustin Orion got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Amboy FC hanging dry this time. Truls Landsem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Agustin Orion made a huge save. Amboy FC's Agustin Orion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Amboy FC from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Segundo came free, but Joachim Forseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Nicolas Segundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Forseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Truls Landsem notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Amboy FC's Agustin Orion. Agustin Orion was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Saga TF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Laudrup to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Horaţiu Dudău hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sture Raknes's late challenge caught a Saga TF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sture Raknes helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Amboy FC got a freekick which was hit by Sture Raknes. Agustin Orion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Komornicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustin Orion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Truls Landsem in the 63rd minute of play. Amboy FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Nannskog in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Modestio in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Forseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amboy FC's Ubaldo Guipuzkoa was substituted for Anastasio Hever. With an all-out effort, Amboy FC's Joachim Forseth threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolas Segundo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 80th minute, Brian Laudrup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Wang Hai in the 81st minute really tested Joachim Forseth's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Amboy FC booed when Saga TF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trond Gilde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valerio Spadoni scored 1-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Forseth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruperto Modestio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Joachim Forseth made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Amboy FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
