Daustad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Erik Grøneng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Stein-Roger Omholt hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Lupere FC's Cláudio Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Hageland in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, August Sauna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupere FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daustad the free kick. August Sauna kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute of the match Frode Fossan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cláudio Motta skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Daustad's Erik Grøneng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Daustad from getting a goal against them. Erik Grøneng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ismael Furlan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 77 minute of play. The supporters of Lupere FC booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Teige didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismael Furlan didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 86th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Ismael Furlan ran dejectedly back to his position. Erivaldo Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Luz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erik Grøneng. That made the score 0-6 in the 89 minute of play. The Lupere FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lupere FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
