In the 5th minute, Geronimo Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavo Henriques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteban Ikatz went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's Inocencio Veronica got control of the ball when Godofredo Remigio tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Jago in the 11th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Bienvenido Largacha. Inocencio Veronica made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Godofredo Remigio sent off a good shot on target. Eloy Gipuzkoa hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes, Racing Club's Eriberto Kimetz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Club reached it. Inocencio Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Salomone, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Inocencio Veronica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Remigio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bienvenido Largacha in the 23rd minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Olavo Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Urbano Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Ikatz in the 26th minute of the match. Inocencio Veronica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geronimo Salomone in the 28th minute. Racing Club's Olavo Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Dolfo in the 30th minute of play. Inocencio Veronica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Remigio in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Higinio Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Remigio. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bienvenido Largacha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bienvenido Largacha took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Henriques. Olavo Henriques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Racing Club's Olavo Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Ikatz in the 45th minute of play.

The wind increased when Godofredo Remigio made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Bienvenido Largacha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Olavo Henriques, 0-3. The supporters of Rafaela FC booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Kimetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Racing Club's Godofredo Remigio got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olavo Henriques made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Esteban Ikatz sent off a good shot on target. Racing Club made a substitution. George Orwel replaced Godofredo Remigio. A nice corner shot did that Eriberto Kimetz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Inocencio Veronica quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inocencio Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Orwel in the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Rafaela FC defense, George Orwel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Veronica. The Rafaela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Veronica should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Eriberto Kimetz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Kimetz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Veronica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafaela FC's Octavio Gonzo was substituted for Bienvenido Largacha. 84 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when George Orwel came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafaela FC's Leon Barro was substituted for Higinio Dolfo. In the 86th minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Eriberto Kimetz went to the cornerflag to take it. 87 minutes into the game, George Orwel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Inocencio Veronica was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olavo Henriques made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Octavio Gonzo sent off a good shot on target. After 94 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Maksymilian Walaszkiewicz. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mike Navarro hit a great ball. Olavo Henriques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Tajo in the 96th minute. Rafaela FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
