The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Hans's Jonas Ståhlberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lionel Paly. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Arvidsson in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute FC Hans were awarded a corner. Erland Norberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Wil 1900's goalie and right to Nils-Erik Fransson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Wil 1900's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Ståhlberg got free with Lionel Paly in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Téo Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timmy Kjellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timmy Kjellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emery Heller in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tory Pryor in the 21st minute of play forced FC Hans's goalkeeper Timmy Kjellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Ståhlberg. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Hans booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. The FC Hans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viorel Moldovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viorel Moldovan scored 3-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lionel Paly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Hans had won after a very even match.
