Jarrod Leary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Moran in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Hector Bobis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jarrod Leary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Moran in the 14th minute of play. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Zacarias Cabrero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alexis Hoover hit a great ball. Oswaldo Moran struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jarrod Leary didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azul Y Plomo. In the 22nd minute, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zacarias Cabrero. The goal made the score 1-0. It was José Macías who took care of the corner kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Xu Yuan Lin replaced Larry Cermak. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson to make the kick off. If Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Bobis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Leary having to interfere. Oswaldo Moran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jarrod Leary made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 58th minute of play forced Azul Y Plomo's goalkeeper Zacarias Cabrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Moran in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
