The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Francisco Pope proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting a goal against them. Angelo Minotti hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Angelo Minotti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Silveri came free, but Francisco Pope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donovan Heath took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franco Bottega. Franco Bottega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Burr in the 21st minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Franco Bottega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Rene Burr got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberigo Pardini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose José took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franco Bottega. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Donovan Heath cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Franco Bottega was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 31st play minutes Victor Coley shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Franco Bottega and just under the crossbar into goal. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Rene Burr got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Pope had great luck who in the 42ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Anthony Tullo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Enrico Finocchio kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute of the match Jose José sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Bottega skillfully saved the ball. Francisco Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Minotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Frank Silveri fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's protests and gave Frank Silveri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Frank Silveri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Bottega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donovan Heath in the 57th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Donovan Heath made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Bottega was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ercole Rainaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's zone, Jose José stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Bottega came out of the goal and Jose José tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camillo Di Crescenzo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Rene Burr got a free kick in the 70th minute. Thanh Goldberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Franco Bottega skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Pepe Rompel got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Pepe Rompel. In the 83rd minute of the match Camillo Di Crescenzo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Pope skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Pritchard in the 85th minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Franco Bottega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute of the match C. A. Pipon Pipon got a corner. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose José ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on C. A. Pipon Pipon's corner Jose José fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Franco Bottega quite easily take care of the ball. Francisco Pope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Tullo in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Coley got free with Franco Bottega in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
