Las Palmas's Primitivo Dolfos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Ciocâltea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jaime Sweeney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Efrain Veremundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Jaime Sweeney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Efrain Veremundo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Jaime Sweeney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inmortales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Sweeney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Veremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Damaso Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Efrain Veremundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Sweeney's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Las Palmas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Denis Vega was slow to take the kick. During this time Inmortales FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Inmortales FC's Denis Vega to fire away a dangerous shot which Efrain Veremundo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Hug made a kick off. Daniel Ciocâltea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
