The audience thought a goal was coming when Tymoteusz Olejniczak got free with Polybos Malavazos in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Polybos Malavazos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Tscherner in the 12th minute of the match. Polybos Malavazos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Tscherner in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, OMONOIA's Polybos Malavazos got control of the ball when Wiktor Tscherner tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tymoteusz Olejniczak fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Viper's protests and gave Tymoteusz Olejniczak a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Viper getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tymoteusz Olejniczak hit a great ball. OMONOIA's Polybos Malavazos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Panikowski in the 31st minute of play. Zula Latkiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Polybos Malavazos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, OMONOIA's Polybos Malavazos got control of the ball when Wiktor Tscherner tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Wiktor Tscherner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Polybos Malavazos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Olaf Kisielka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lakis Vrotsos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Nikos Koulouris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OMONOIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Viper the free kick. Polybos Malavazos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zula Latkiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, OMONOIA's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Ekialde came free, but Polybos Malavazos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
