The supporters of 27 de Mayo booed when Jedi Knights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Loren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Erasmo Gines fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jedi Knights's protests and gave Erasmo Gines a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Erasmo Gines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jedi Knights's goalkeeper Placido Edorta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jedi Knights's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ponce Cruzado was slow to take the kick. During this time 27 de Mayo's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on 27 de Mayo's corner Ponce Cruzado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Placido Edorta quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jedi Knights's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ponce Cruzado was slow to take the kick. During this time 27 de Mayo's players had a chance to rest. Bebeto Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Vargas in the 45th minute of play forced Jedi Knights's goalkeeper Placido Edorta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani Vargas in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Placido Edorta saved Jedi Knights from getting behind. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jedi Knights's goalkeeper Placido Edorta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
