Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jeff Bernard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nomads Football Club's Sean Deaton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Borges in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé Britto to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Nomads Football Club getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Eduardo Cannon hit a great ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Dudu Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nomads Football Club's Sean Deaton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Nomads Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Borges came free, but Sean Deaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ernesto Rooney sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Nomads Football Club booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Dudu Borges notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nomads Football Club's Sean Deaton. Sean Deaton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Nomads Football Club's Christian Hester got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Agnaldo Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catugi FC's protests and gave Agnaldo Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Brodel to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nomads Football Club's Ernesto Rooney suffered a concussion in the 38th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Walmir Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catugi FC's protests and gave Walmir Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nomads Football Club booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denver Lund in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Cannon. If Willian Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Leão. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dudu Borges made a kick off. Christian Hester kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Aírton de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Deaton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Dudu Borges reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sean Deaton. The goal made the score 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 65th minute of play forced Nomads Football Club's goalkeeper Sean Deaton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeff Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Reko Nybacka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Renaldo Barth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Bernard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Leão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Bernard in the 79th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catugi FC's Hudson Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jim Smalls came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Nomads Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jim Smalls couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Catugi FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
