Axel Mellberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 12th minute Cory Kirkland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Fletcher Lund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sundens BK's Lukas Aspengren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for New England Minas. In the 20th minute Eustaquio Pudes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Dallas Seymour quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Richard Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Segundo Gol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New England Minas's Segundo Gol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save New England Minas from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustaquio Pudes made a kick off. In the 59th minute Bruno Lacorte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sundens BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustaquio Pudes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Aspengren in the 61st minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Bora La Marca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Ek in the 72nd minute of play. Segundo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Pudes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Ludwig Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bora La Marca might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Axel Mellberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bora La Marca ran back to his position shaking his head. Segundo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Pudes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sundens BK defense, Chris Cabezon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Axel Mellberg. The Sundens BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Axel Mellberg should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bora La Marca didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New England Minas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
