With his leg Reed Molina managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when MIT Craiova's Iustin Chificeac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 7 played minutes ForestFire got a freekick which was hit by Tad Sierra. The long shot by Avram Mititelu in the 8th minute really tested Reed Molina's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 10th minute, Phil Greene hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Avram Mititelu managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Avram Mititelu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reed Molina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, MIT Craiova's Iustin Chificeac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reed Molina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute MIT Craiova were awarded a corner. Avram Mititelu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to MIT Craiova's Cristinel Bocaneț getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of ForestFire booed when MIT Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Gorgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remus Pinczewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duncan Nichols went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Remus Pinczewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamar Knapp in the 25th minute of play. Reed Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Chificeac in the 30th minute of the match. Reed Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Chificeac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Cristinel Bocaneț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristinel Bocaneț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Bocaneț to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iustin Chificeac to make the kick off. ForestFire's Reed Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Chificeac in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristinel Bocaneț in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reed Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gigel Gorgan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. MIT Craiova's Remus Pinczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tad Sierra in the 67th minute of play. When Liviu Ciolacu came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the MIT Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liviu Ciolacu couldn't finish the play. MIT Craiova's Remus Pinczewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save MIT Craiova from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Charlton McDonough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remus Pinczewski was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Chificeac came free, but Reed Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Ciolacu to maneuver through the defense. Iustin Chificeac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reed Molina having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tad Sierra got free with Remus Pinczewski in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, ForestFire's Lamar Knapp got a free kick in the 94th minute. ForestFire were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
