Demesio Verdeja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Omar Gelmiro's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Gelmiro in the 8th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Demesio Verdeja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demario Caceo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Jaime Venceslao made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Obana got free with Jaime Venceslao in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Omar Gelmiro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Demesio Verdeja. Omar Gelmiro took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Demesio Verdeja. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciriaco Afonso during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anselmo Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Omar Gelmiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Demesio Verdeja firmly grabbed it by the left post.
