Jataiense Futebol Clube's Candido Urbes got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Candido Urbes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Conny Schuhmacher made a huge save. Candido Urbes struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Conny Schuhmacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jataiense Futebol Clube. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Candido Urbes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jataiense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Urbes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conny Schuhmacher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conny Schuhmacher was a little too slow when Candido Urbes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 42nd minute Eckehard Tollmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sem Titulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Jataiense Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Centurión didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The tension between the Give Peace a Chance and the Jataiense Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jataiense Futebol Clube made a substitution. Give Peace a Chance's Conny Schuhmacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pipo Inzaghi in the 89th minute of play. After 91 minutes Give Peace a Chance's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gong Cheng Yao who took care of the corner kick. Conny Schuhmacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipo Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
