After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atlético Atlanta! Melquiades Salvatore had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Lukas Walroth's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Peter Handirov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Artaldo scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Handirov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cain Velasquez during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Cain Velasquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Handirov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Iban in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner. Ciro Ferdinand went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atlético Atlanta's Ciro Ferdinand was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peter Handirov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Melquiades Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cain Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Cain Velasquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Salvatore came out of the goal and Cain Velasquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tunge Titans's Stellan Lund got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Cain Velasquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Melquiades Salvatore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Abel Iban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Iban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Handirov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosendo Cutberto during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Rosendo Cutberto hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Walroth in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Salvatore saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustaquio Jaizki to make the kick off. The Tunge Titans fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Tunge Titans's Cain Velasquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Melquiades Salvatore came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Tunge Titans's Cain Velasquez. But to his dismay, Cain Velasquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Cain Velasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 62 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Abel Iban. Anders Walroth hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Melquiades Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cain Velasquez in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Tunge Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Artaldo came free, but Peter Handirov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cain Velasquez in the 72nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Tunge Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Jaizki came free, but Peter Handirov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes Tunge Titans got a freekick which was hit by Tore Munter. Ciro Ferdinand took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Peter Handirov. Tunge Titans's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Remigio Erramu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Cain Velasquez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore didn't even have to move. Peter Handirov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Artaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cain Velasquez kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Peter Handirov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Artaldo in the 89th minute of the match. When Abel Iban came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Iban couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tunge Titans had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
