MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zuhaitz Artiaga in the 9th minute of play. Socavon FC's Toni Schumacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Goiano in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Socavon FC's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Goiano to make the kick off. After some careless play in the MINEIROS defense, Fidencio Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serginho Taffarel. The MINEIROS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serginho Taffarel should have stopped the shot. Socavon FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
