The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alam Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, U. de Tarapacá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sezen Taşkın to maneuver through the defense. After 7 played minutes, Jukatriz's Benjamin Chaves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manos Manteca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jukatriz reached it. When Alam Brito fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U. de Tarapacá's protests and gave Alam Brito a yellow card for diving instead. Alam Brito hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Raab came free, but Hugo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Coutinho in the 15th minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Manos Manteca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Paco Raab ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 29th minute, Juan José J.J. got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Julio Almi scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo de Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo de Amorim came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by U. de Tarapacá's Paco Raab. But to his dismay, Paco Raab quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Hugo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan José J.J., even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Julio Almi took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo de Amorim. Hugo de Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osmar Motta was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Juan José J.J. had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo de Amorim. Jukatriz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan José J.J. was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. José Julio Almi might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo de Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Julio Almi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Sezen Taşkın got a free kick in the 60th minute. Germano Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan José J.J. was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, José Julio Almi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hugo de Amorim, 0-9. 83 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paco Raab. 85 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Raab came free, but Hugo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute José Julio Almi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cléberson Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. José Julio Almi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Hugo de Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 94 minutes, Juan José J.J. managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan José J.J. was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute Paco Raab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The U. de Tarapacá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
