The Nerd Herd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thiago Damião ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of The Nerd Herd's goalie and right to Alex Vale. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. The Nerd Herd's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 30th minute Thiago Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asmund Sjøberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Augusto de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brage Vetrhus, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Serafim Silveira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Richard Travassos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 84 minutes into the game, Brage Vetrhus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Augusto de Godoi. Brage Vetrhus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 91 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brage Vetrhus. The Nerd Herd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
