After having played for 6 minutes, Eliézer Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarcisio Munhoz's late challenge caught a Atlético Grau Piura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarcisio Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tarcisio Munhoz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Breno de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Eloi Ocomardia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Atlético Grau Piura got a freekick which was hit by Olando Liendo. Eliézer Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Iker Colmenares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Atlético Grau Piura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloi Ocomardia to maneuver through the defense. Ian Rocha came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Grau Piura's Ourente Egea. But to his dismay, Ourente Egea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloi Ocomardia in the 28th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Ian Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Atlético Grau Piura's Nicolao Najera made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 37 minutes, Eliézer Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferreira Lopes MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliézer Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Breno de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Colmenares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ferreira Lopes MZC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético Grau Piura were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eloi Ocomardia to strike the kick off in the second half. If Manfredo Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Colmenares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when Atlético Grau Piura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olando Liendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Grau Piura's Iker Colmenares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Duarte in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Ferreira Lopes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Iker Colmenares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Atlético Grau Piura getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Eloi Ocomardia hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Grau Piura's Eloi Ocomardia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ian Rocha. That made the score 0-3 after 75 minutes of play.
