He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Isidro Rumaldo. Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Ruy Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Dolfo in the 16th minute of play. Márcio Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Gonzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santo Gonzo ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the game, Cementerio Club's Daniel Dolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Cementerio Club getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Paolo Bermudez hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laureano Jobo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Cementerio Club fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Cementerio Club's Santo Gonzo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Márcio Barral to strike the kick off in the second half. Moisés Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Rumaldo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s zone, Santo Gonzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cementerio Club were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s much stronger midfield.
