When Palmeiras's Paulo José Rocha in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's goalie prevented a goal. Gilvan Tande was a little too slow when Davi Rosado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 9th minute, Palmeiras's Paulo José Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Gilvan Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio Donatello in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Donatello came free, but Gilvan Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Cláudio Donatello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilvan Tande. Cláudio Donatello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Fábio de Souza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilvan Tande, 5-0. Gilvan Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Rocha in the 28th minute of play. Gilvan Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Rosado in the 30th minute. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's Gilvan Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Rosado in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Cláudio Donatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilvan Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 38th minute, Cláudio Donatello made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Tande. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 41st match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Gilvan Tande was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo José Rocha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-0 in the 43 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 61 minutes, Paulo José Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 minutes of play, Palmeiras's Alfredão França made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilvan Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilvan Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Donatello in the 70th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Cláudio Donatello put it in 13-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gilvan Tande. 75 minutes into the match, Cláudio Donatello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilvan Tande. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cláudio Donatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. In the 79th minute, Davi Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilvan Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0. Gilvan Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Donatello in the 82nd minute of play. Dani Alves's late challenge caught a Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dani Alves helped the player get up and apologised. Dani Alves hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão França came free, but Gilvan Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Gilvan Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gilvan Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilvan Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
