In the 4th minute, Endre Svensen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Kåre Wahlstrøm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sokratis Vlachakis. O.T.E's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kåre Wahlstrøm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Alnes in the 18th minute of play forced O.T.E's goalkeeper Sokratis Vlachakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristian Sandersen kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Åsnes defense, Antonis Klinakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christoffer Jørgensen. The Åsnes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christoffer Jørgensen should have stopped the shot. Kåre Wahlstrøm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sokratis Vlachakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Endre Svensen hit a great ball. The supporters of O.T.E booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Alnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stelios Magas hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The O.T.E players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Åsnes were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timos Kiakis to make the kick off. Antonis Klinakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Christoffer Jørgensen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kåre Wahlstrøm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sokratis Vlachakis was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Sokratis Vlachakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Wahlstrøm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lambis Kolevas kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in O.T.E's zone, Kåre Wahlstrøm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sokratis Vlachakis came out of the goal and Kåre Wahlstrøm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sokratis Vlachakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Alnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Antonis Klinakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoffer Jørgensen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. This resulted in a 2-6 score and a disappointed Sokratis Vlachakis as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Åsnes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
