An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 3rd minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Paul Fromont scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waud De Geyter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waud De Geyter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 8th minute of the match. Charles-Louis Van de Leest struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Philibert Gournay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Silver Squad AFC. Waud De Geyter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Teinturier's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Paulo Teinturier sped through Silver Squad AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waud De Geyter. Waud De Geyter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Teinturier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waud De Geyter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Teinturier went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Waud De Geyter came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Paulo Teinturier. But to his dismay, Paulo Teinturier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Lorenzo Rockloos made the kick off in the second half. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Teinturier, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Waud De Geyter was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Paulo Teinturier capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Teinturier really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Waud De Geyter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Teinturier's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean-Paul Fromont got free with Waud De Geyter in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silver Squad AFC's Waud De Geyter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 65th minute of play. Jean-Paul Fromont took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waud De Geyter. Waud De Geyter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean-Paul Fromont got free with Waud De Geyter in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noël Casimir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waud De Geyter having to interfere. Jean-Paul Fromont scored 0-7 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waud De Geyter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Teinturier, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The corner led R.C. Marseille's Sofiane Candau to fire away a dangerous shot which Waud De Geyter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corentin Joye, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The supporters of Silver Squad AFC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Cayron didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes Silver Squad AFC got a freekick which was hit by Berten Vandeput. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 94th minute of play. R.C. Marseille played a much better game than Silver Squad AFC and deserved their victory. The Silver Squad AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
