Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomás Bordat made the kick off which started today's match. Julio Servando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ulises Sandaili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Formentera's Santo Illan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulises Sandaili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Flavio Lugo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Santo Illan, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 19th match minute, Vélez Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Galoer to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Raul Urtats got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Guaberto Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Formentera's zone, Tomás Bordat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Bidun came out of the goal and Tomás Bordat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vélez Juniors were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Formentera's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquiles Argina took the corner. 45 minutes into the game, one of Formentera:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 47th minute of the game, Vélez Juniors got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Illan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Maraman came free, but Gualterio Bidun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Confesor came free, but Gualterio Bidun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vélez Juniors's Emilio Serafo was substituted for Damaso Playo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnulfo Confesor in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualterio Bidun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Confesor came free, but Gualterio Bidun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Arnulfo Confesor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formentera's Gualterio Bidun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 minutes Formentera's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquiles Argina who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Vélez Juniors's Aquiles Argina to fire away a dangerous shot which Gualterio Bidun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Remicio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Bidun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Bordat's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Ulises Sandaili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Illan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute, Bernabe Bilintx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernabe Bilintx charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernabe Bilintx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernabe Bilintx kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Flavio Lugo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The long shot by Santo Illan in the 97th minute really tested Ulises Sandaili's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
