Fotbal Club Vaslui's Cristian Crăciunaș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davut Ersalmış in the 4th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asaf Mete to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Fotbal Club Vaslui defense, Davut Ersalmış kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Crăciunaș. The Fotbal Club Vaslui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Crăciunaș should have stopped the shot. After 20 minutes, Ahmet Fikret Onat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BEŞİKTAŞK and the Fotbal Club Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet Fikret Onat hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Lucian Mușătescu from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Kubilay Sefik's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kubilay Sefik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vasile Pacuraru went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucian Mușătescu during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of BEŞİKTAŞK booed when Fotbal Club Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Mușătescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Calistrat Tomozei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Calistrat Tomozei fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Kubilay Sefik. When BEŞİKTAŞK's Davut Ersalmış in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Alkan İldeniz came free, but Cristian Crăciunaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Horea Grigorie fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Vaslui's protests and gave Horea Grigorie a yellow card for diving instead. Horea Grigorie hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Cristian Crăciunaș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alkan İldeniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Alkan İldeniz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fotbal Club Vaslui's Cristian Crăciunaș. Cristian Crăciunaș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calistrat Tomozei made a kick off. During the 66th minute of the match Lucian Mușătescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lucian Mușătescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Fotbal Club Vaslui getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lucian Mușătescu hit a great ball. Vasile Pacuraru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kubilay Sefik having to interfere. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind BEŞİKTAŞK's goalkeeper Kubilay Sefik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 72 played minutes Fotbal Club Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Pacuraru. In the 73rdth minute of the game Asaf Mete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fotbal Club Vaslui's Cristian Crăciunaș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Crăciunaș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davut Ersalmış in the 75th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Davut Ersalmış could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Cristian Crăciunaș however easily saved by the left post. Alkan İldeniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Vasile Pacuraru made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. BEŞİKTAŞK's Kubilay Sefik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 minutes, Cankut Yengi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BEŞİKTAŞK and the Fotbal Club Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. BEŞİKTAŞK's Alkan İldeniz got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horaţiu Uncheşu's late challenge caught a BEŞİKTAŞK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horaţiu Uncheşu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Horaţiu Uncheşu got a free kick in the 97th minute.
