Felipe Quintun lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Genk a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Franky Peers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Super Penalitop's Bruno Quilino. 0-1. Roel De Mees got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luke De Beer. A collision led to Genk getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Roel De Mees hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Franky Peers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Quilino skillfully saved the ball. Andres Darien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Peter-Jan Rijniers made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Lázaro Maraman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franky Peers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Super Penalitop players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Genk were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maarten Belmans was the one to do the kick off. Laureano Ramond kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Maarten Belmans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Bruno Quilino made a huge save. If Hermengildo Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Super Penalitop got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Felipillo. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Super Penalitop's goalkeeper Bruno Quilino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Super Penalitop's Cecilio Matia got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Charly Tombuer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Quilino skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Andres Darien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Super Penalitop's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Darien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter-Jan Rijniers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Super Penalitop's goalkeeper Bruno Quilino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maarten Belmans. Lázaro Maraman hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Bruno Quilino was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Franky Peers. Lieven Cox's late challenge caught a Super Penalitop's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lieven Cox helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Genk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lieven Cox to maneuver through the defense. Maarten Belmans in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Quilino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 91st minute Maarten Belmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Quilino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maarten Belmans's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bruno Quilino firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Genk had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
