Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes, Hermínio Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JFSP and the TORQUE F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Võ Gozali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Obano in the 23rd minute of the match. When Horacio Matthew came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the TORQUE F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Matthew couldn't finish the play. Flaco López's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norberto Eriz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flaco López got free with Norberto Eriz in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorio Obano made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Hermínio Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TORQUE F.C.'s Norberto Eriz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. TORQUE F.C.'s Serafino Marino suffered a sprained foot after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Hermínio Meirelles was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Flaco López's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norberto Eriz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Teodoro Dubardo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
