When Leon Desira fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sliema Dragons FC's protests and gave Leon Desira a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Desira kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Marcos Gaspar scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrian Decelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Carl Mamo came free, but Elói Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Marcos Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Alvinegro de Tupã booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Talbot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvinegro de Tupã's Marcel Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elói Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Carl Mamo in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Jean Carl Mamo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói Cordeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alvinegro de Tupã's Elói Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Desira in the 21st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Christopher Talbot in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Alvinegro de Tupã's Zeca Cruz. Leo Sant Manduca's late challenge caught a Alvinegro de Tupã's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Sant Manduca helped the player get up and apologised. Elói Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean Carl Mamo went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Desira came free, but Elói Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sliema Dragons FC booed when Alvinegro de Tupã was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elói Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Carl Mamo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Sliema Dragons FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean Carl Mamo was the one to do the kick off. Alvinegro de Tupã's Elói Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Carl Mamo in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Jean Carl Mamo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elói Cordeiro. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 64th minute, Vânderson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes, Sliema Dragons FC's Isaac Grimaud shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elói Cordeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sliema Dragons FC reached it. Jean Carl Mamo struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Elói Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sliema Dragons FC. In the 77th minute, Leo Sant Manduca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elói Cordeiro. The goal made the score 1-4. Elói Cordeiro made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Leo Scalpello sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Scalpello in the 85th minute of play forced Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Elói Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elói Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Scalpello in the 88th minute of play. Alvinegro de Tupã's Elói Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Scalpello in the 90th minute of play. After 94 played minutes Alvinegro de Tupã got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Netto. In the 95th minute of the match Jurgen Montalto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elói Cordeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sliema Dragons FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
