After 8 played minutes, Agua Santa's Tiago Cosme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dionysos Danas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Agua Santa reached it. Agua Santa's Abel Paes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Agua Santa from getting a goal against them. After 12 minutes of play, Agua Santa's Ernani Valladares made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dionysos Danas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the game, Dadá Moura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dionysos Danas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dionysos Danas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Cosme in the 22nd minute of play forced ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's goalkeeper Dionysos Danas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Moura came free, but Dionysos Danas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Cosme took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dionysos Danas. Dionysos Danas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 32nd minute Ernani Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionysos Danas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koronis Panoulias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Abel Paes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 39 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Alkeides Kouretas came free, but Abel Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Paes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's Kimon Spiridakou. But to his dismay, Kimon Spiridakou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 45th minute Ernani Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionysos Danas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernani Valladares was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Alessandro Trancoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agua Santa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 61st minute of the match, Ernani Valladares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dionysos Danas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abel Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkeides Kouretas in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Valladares in the 66th minute of play forced ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's goalkeeper Dionysos Danas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giuseppe Queirós was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Queirós. Agua Santa's Frank Rosa was substituted for Chicão Guerra. The supporters of ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 minutes, Kolkhis Papadakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ and the Agua Santa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Kolkhis Papadakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ernani Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Alekos Antoniou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agua Santa the free kick. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ! When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Agua Santa's Oséas Trigo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dionysos Danas. When Alessandro Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Agua Santa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Trancoso couldn't finish the play. Agua Santa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
