An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Dudek in the 4th minute of play forced MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's goalkeeper Stanislaw Wawro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeusz Pozorski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Wawro having to interfere. Lech Nakoneczny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Cichowski in the 8th minute of play. Bernard Trochowski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Russówek fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! In the 13th minute there was a penalty for MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC. Zbyszko Kolano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lech Nakoneczny. 0-1. Olaf Banan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Russówek's Lech Nakoneczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Cichowski in the 34th minute of play. Wincenty Cichowski's late challenge caught a Russówek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wincenty Cichowski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Wincenty Cichowski hit a great ball. A hard shot by Sylwester Kolano from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Stanislaw Wawro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Olaf Banan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Russówek booed when MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Lampe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wincenty Cichowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leszek Psotka in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislaw Wawro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konrad Dudek in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislaw Wawro saved MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, Russówek's Leszek Psotka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislaw Wawro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Lech Nakoneczny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wincenty Cichowski in the 65th minute. Leszek Psotka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Wawro having to interfere. After some careless play in the MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC defense, Piotr Adamus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislaw Wawro. The MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislaw Wawro should have stopped the shot. Mieszko Kaczeniak hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Konrad Dudek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Russówek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Dudek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 played minutes MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC got a freekick which was hit by Zbigniew Lampe. Konrad Dudek took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stanislaw Wawro. Stanislaw Wawro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Stanislaw Wawro came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Russówek's Leszek Psotka. But to his dismay, Leszek Psotka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Russówek were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC for a fine match.
