In the 10th minute, Tytus Koprowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Sandberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Alexander Sandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Awizo in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tytus Koprowski came free, but Alexander Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Sandberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Slawomir Karp went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Alexander Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tytus Koprowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barnaba Komanski struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Alexander Sandberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Śląsk Bytom. Leeds United FC's Alexander Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Nowakowski in the 27th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Falk. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Slawomir Karp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Śląsk Bytom's supporters rose to their feet, but Slawomir Karp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Komanski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Slawomir Karp could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Alexander Sandberg however easily saved by the left post. Alexander Sandberg was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Klement Awizo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Klement Awizo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. With a little luck, Leeds United FC's Alexander Sandberg got control of the ball when Barnaba Komanski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexander Sandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Slawomir Karp in the 46th minute. Alexander Sandberg was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Tytus Koprowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tytus Koprowski really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0.

The supporters of Śląsk Bytom booed when Leeds United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Grubb didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Slawomir Karp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Misiorowski in the 94th minute of play forced Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Alexander Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hjalmar Falk fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leeds United FC's protests and gave Hjalmar Falk a yellow card for diving instead. Śląsk Bytom walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
